What the AppsFlyer SDK needs from you

From AppsFlyer's own documentation and the SDK's published manifest and package files.

  • Android permissions
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID are declared in the SDK's own manifest (AD_ID added automatically since 6.8.0; child-directed apps remove it with tools:node="remove"); docs show INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE in the manifest snippet.
  • Play Install Referrer
Uses Google Play Install Referrer; native docs tell the developer to add com.android.installreferrer:installreferrer:2.2 (the RN, Flutter, Cordova and Unity wrappers add it themselves).
  • ATT prompt (iOS)
App calls requestTrackingAuthorization itself; SDK offers waitForATTUserAuthorization(timeoutInterval:) before start (docs example 60 s).
  • Deep links
OneLink with Unified Deep Linking (onDeepLinking callback, registered before SDK start) for direct and deferred deep links; universal links/App Links and URI scheme set up per platform; legacy onConversionData deferred method not reliable on iOS 14.5+.
  • SKAN
SKAN measured via the SDK; docs ask for NSAdvertisingAttributionReportEndpoint=https://appsflyer-skadnetwork.com/ in Info.plist for postback copies (plus AdAttributionKit postback copy key).
