# Methodology and sources

Where every package name, version, licence and minimum OS on this site comes from, and what the site does not claim.

## How the facts were checked

Each of the 81 vendor and framework pairs (9 MMPs by 9 frameworks) was checked on 2 Nov 2026 against primary sources only:

- **Package and version:** the public registry (npm, pub.dev, CocoaPods, Maven Central or the vendor's own Maven repository, Unity Package Manager Git URLs and GitHub releases). The version is the latest stable one the registry showed that day.
- **Licence:** the registry's licence field, or the LICENSE file and package metadata in the source repository. Where neither states one, the table says Not published.
- **Minimum OS:** the podspec, Package.swift, Gradle file, AAR manifest or the vendor's installation docs. Gradle defaults that an app can override are marked "(default)". 17 pairs have no published minimum and say so.
- **Status:** Official when the vendor publishes the package; Vendor-documented when the vendor's docs describe the route but a third party maintains the package or plugin (or, for Linkrunner on Unity, a bridge guide without a package); Community only when only third-party packages exist; None found when neither the vendor's docs nor the registries show one.
- **Setup needs:** Android permissions, Play Install Referrer, ATT handling, deep links and SKAN are taken from each vendor's own docs and, where the docs are silent, the SDK's published manifest or package file. Each vendor datasheet lists its sources.

## What this site does not do

- It does not rank SDKs by size, speed or reliability. No vendor publishes a like-for-like measurement, so there is nothing to cite.
- It does not show download counts or star counts.
- It does not test the SDKs in an app. Check release notes and run a build before relying on a minimum version.

## Order and links

Vendors are listed A to Z in every table, picker and list. Registry, repository and vendor documentation links are references for checking the facts.

## Platform sources

The setup checklists on framework pages use Apple, Google and Expo documentation:
