# MMP SDKs for *Capacitor*

Attribution plugins for Capacitor and Ionic apps, from npm and each vendor's docs. Capacitor is where vendor coverage thins out: several MMPs publish no plugin at all.

**Short answer**

4 of the 9 MMPs tracked here publish an official Capacitor SDK: AppsFlyer, Branch, Linkrunner and Tenjin. Airbridge and AppMetrica have community packages only. No Capacitor SDK found for Adjust, Kochava and Singular.

"Not published" means no primary source states the value; it does not mean there is no minimum. Registry and repo links are for reference.

## What the SDK needs from you

The setup steps that apply to any attribution SDK in a Capacitor app. Each vendor datasheet lists that vendor's own requirements.

- **Install**
`npm install <plugin>` then `npx cap sync`. Check the plugin's peer dependency on `@capacitor/core`: a plugin built for Capacitor 8 will not install cleanly on Capacitor 6.
- **No official plugin?**
Some vendors point Ionic users at their Cordova plugin, which Capacitor can run, or at a community package. Neither is the same as a Capacitor plugin the vendor maintains.
- **Android permissions**
Declared by the plugin's Android library in most cases; confirm `AD_ID` is in the merged manifest if you need the advertising ID on Android 13 or later.
- **Play Install Referrer**
Comes through the native Android SDK the plugin wraps.
- **ATT prompt**
Add `NSUserTrackingUsageDescription` in Xcode and show the prompt from your web code through the plugin or a separate ATT plugin.
- **Deep links**
Set Associated Domains in Xcode and an App Links intent filter in Android Studio, then listen for app URL open events and hand them to the SDK.

## Questions

**Which MMPs have an official Capacitor SDK?**

4 of the 9 MMPs tracked here publish an official Capacitor SDK: AppsFlyer, Branch, Linkrunner and Tenjin. Airbridge and AppMetrica have community packages only. No Capacitor SDK found for Adjust, Kochava and Singular.

**How do I install an MMP SDK in a Capacitor app?**

npm install the plugin, then npx cap sync to copy it into the iOS and Android projects.

**Can I use a Cordova MMP plugin in a Capacitor app?**

Capacitor can run many Cordova plugins, and some vendors document that route for Ionic. It is not the same as a maintained Capacitor plugin, so test it on both platforms and check the vendor's own support statement.

**Why do fewer MMPs support Capacitor than React Native?**

Vendors build wrappers where most of their customers' apps are. The table shows four official Capacitor plugins among nine vendors, against nine official React Native packages.

**What is an MMP SDK?**

An MMP SDK is the library a mobile measurement partner asks you to add to your app. It records the first open, in-app events and deep link opens, and sends them to the MMP so installs can be matched to the ad or link that drove them.

**Is every MMP SDK open source?**

No. Many wrappers and SDKs are MIT licensed, but some native SDKs are proprietary: AppsFlyer's native iOS and Android SDKs, Kochava's SDKs and AppMetrica's Flutter plugin are published under proprietary terms. The licence column in each table shows what the registry or repository states.

## Other frameworks

- [FW-RN **React Native** npm install the vendor package, then run pod install in the ios folder. Autolinking wires up the native side. *9 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/react-native/)
- [FW-FL **Flutter** flutter pub add the package, then check the iOS deployment target in the Podfile and minSdk in android/app/build.gradle. *8 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/flutter/)
- [FW-EX **Expo** npx expo install the package, add its config plugin to app.json, then npx expo prebuild and run a development build. Expo Go cannot load these native SDKs. *6 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/expo/)
- [FW-UN **Unity** Add the package by Git URL in Unity Package Manager or import the .unitypackage, then resolve native dependencies (often with EDM4U) before building for iOS and Android. *8 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/unity/)
- [FW-CD **Cordova** cordova plugin add the package, then rebuild both platforms. *7 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/cordova/)
- [FW-IOS **iOS (native)** Add the Swift package in Xcode or the pod to your Podfile, then initialise the SDK early in the app's launch. *9 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/ios/)
- [FW-AND **Android (native)** Add the artifact to your Gradle dependencies (and the vendor's Maven repository if it is not on Maven Central), then initialise the SDK in Application.onCreate. *9 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/android/)
- [FW-WEB **Web** Add the vendor's script tag or npm package to the site, then initialise it with your app or project key. *7 of 9 official*](https://mmpsdk.com/frameworks/web/)
